Before Braces After Braces
Class I Malocclusion with a Midline Shift This patient's lower jaw was shifted to his right and he had a deep overbite. As you can see in the upper left photo, his upper and lower teeth did not line up in the center of his jaws and his upper teeth overlapped most of his lower teeth. His lower jaw was growing more on his left side resulting in an asymmetrical growth pattern. His treatment consisted of aligning his upper and lower teeth with braces, opening his bite to a normal position, and using rubber bands to redirect growth of his upper and lower jaws into the correct relationship.
